Ingredients Needed for Baigan Masoor:
- Brinjal (Baigan) – 1piece
- Masoor Daal – 50gms
- Adrakh – ½ inch
- Turmeric (Haldi) – ½ tablespoon
- Salet (Namak) – as per taste
- Oil- 2 tablespoon
- Red CHilly Powder (Lal Mirch Powder) – 1/2 tablespoon
- Cumin Seed ( Jeera Seed) – 1/4th tablespoon
- Red Chilly (Khada Lal Mirch)) – 1 piece
- Hing
Steps to create Masoor Baigan:
- Clean masoor and brinjal thoroughly
- Cut brinjal into small pieces.
- Put the pan on the stove to heat oil
- Put Jeera seed, Lal Mirch and a pinch of hing on the pan
- Now put chopped ginger pieces on that pan and fry
- After 1 min put brinjal pieces on the pan
- Fry for 2 mins and put red chilly powder, turmeric and salt, fry for another 2 mins.
- Put Masoor dal in the pan and mix it thoroughly and fry it for 4 mins on medium flame
- After frying put 1 cup of water.
- Leave the pan covered on high flame for 3 mins
- Then low the flame to medium and leave the pan for another 10 mins on the stove.
- After 10 mins your food is ready to be served.
